Summarize your bug Madden 24 crashes my audio drivers every 3 minutes. I can usually get into a game or two but then in the middle of the match the audio drivers crash and then my PC drivers have crackle noises up until I restart my PC. This issue ONLY occurs when I launch madden 24 and have occurred prior to me playing this game. (I have not had any audio issues with the previous year of the game, Madden 23,22,21,20 etc.)
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I've been able to get this to occur 100% of the time when I try to play madden 24
What happens when the bug occurs? My audio drivers will crash. After they automatically restart the sound cracks and pops as if they have been de-synced
What do you expect to see? The game audio to NOT crash my drivers every three minutes and work as intended.
Troubleshooting steps:
1.) Confirmed all of my audio drivers are installed and up to date.
2.) I've run "SFC /scannow" to confirm my OS isn't corrupted, I also ran "/Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth"
3.) Restart my PC.(Which would fix my audio cracking and popping up until I start a match in madden.
3.) I've contacted IT for my audio interface and they confirmed that everything on their end is working and it's an issue with the game itself.
3.) Then I reached out to EA IT and the tech gave me a troubleshooting tip to turn off all of my services and disable all of my startup apps...which ended up breaking a few things on my computer.
4.) Second EA IT tech told me to create a forum post.
HI @quintinkt
When you have a moment, can we try going through the following and check if this issue continues?
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Close other running applications on your device
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for your game (Microsoft VC++ Link)
- Restart your device in Clean Boot mode, then just try running the client and game
Cheers,
