Madden disconnects me from the internet, and I figured out why

Madden 24 disconnects my ADSL Dial Up from the internet when I first load it, and I finally think I've figured out why.

I have no problem playing games on various game servers and I can play on the EA Server and connect to the EA Server easily and play Madden online with no lag.

What I have figured out through troubleshooting is that I get disconnected from the internet when uploading large files, due to latency. 

I think Madden 24 is disconnecting me when it first runs because it is probably having me upload something such as my settings.

Is there some way to stop Madden 24 from having me upload anything when it first runs?  It pauses at the menu screen for about 20 seconds before disconnecting, therefore it clearly is uploading something.

Anyway to stop this from happening?
