Madden Ps4 Disc won’t upgrade to Ps5 when it says it will

I recently bought madden 24 ps4 disc version from Amazon and on the cover of the game it says it will come with the ps5 edition aswell. Ea also mentions the ps4 disc version will come with the ps5 ve...

I bought madden 24 for the PS4 but now got a PS5.

I put the disc in the drive and updates loaded and installed but no PS5 upgrade.

The Playstation Store also shows me that I can buy the game again, even though I have the game. Is this a bug? When can I upgrade to the PS5 version?

I was able to download the upgrade, but my data isn't transferring so I'm missing about 15 hours of gameplay.

        It's some kind of bug. Got the disc on release day and haven't been able to upgrade from the start. I have tried it multiple times every day since.

    I don't believe any of your in game data transfers over between systems based on the videos I have seen. At this point I have only played a couple exhibition games. Won't start anything else until the upgrade issues are fixed.
