Stuck in "update required" loop on PC

I saw about an hour ago that an update was available on the EA app. I updated the game and even receive the "ready to play" message pop-up in the bottom left corner of my screen, but whenever I try to launch the game it just downloads and installs the update again. I tried closing and restarting the EA app and even tried completely uninstalling the game and reinstalling but it still does the same thing every time.

EDIT: Never mind...rebooting computer seems to fix the issue.
