I believe it is being added to your player, but just does not show on the breakdown screen of XP earned for the week. Check your players XP before the drill and the after and you should see the bonus XP added to your totals
Sorry, just to clarify. It will not show in the breakdown for weekly XP, only in the top right- Total XP, but your overall ranking
