PC - Steam Madden 25 Recognizes Controller as 2 instead of 1

What type of issue do you have? Gameplay
Which mode has this happened in? Play Now
Summarize your bug it is showing that i have 2 controllers connected when i only have 1. madden 24 works perfectly fine. i have tried about every setting on steam, updated my drivers, rebooted, uninstalled mulitiple devices for no fix
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? i loaded the game and it started recognizing it as 2 controllers
What happens when the bug occurs? my inputs on my controller dont work properly, A and B become start and select, when i load any gamemode you can play locally it shows 2 controllers that move at the same time
What do you expect to see? 1 controller so i can run the game properly

Hello all, I was having the same problem and found a fix that works for me. I am using a PS5 controller on Steam/PC:
1) In your steam library, right click Madden 25 and go to manage and go to controller settings
2) Click "Disable Steam Input" in the top right.

That worked for me, hopefully it does for some of you.

Thank you. Thank you. I tried a bunch of other recommendations, but nothing worked. Disabling the controller setting in he Madden 2025 properties (under Steam) worked.
This is a little weird because I didn't have to do this for Madden 2024 or prior versions.

I had the same issue with my controller. I do exactly the opposite and it works for me. Open steam. Upper right hand corner. There is a picture of a computer. Click on that then set up your controller.
