Match Coverage

I use the Xbox 1 platform to play Madden 25. I have zone drops set to default and I do not make any adjustments in terms of shading up or down. When I play cover 3 seems (any cover 3 with seem flats) , cover 4 palms, or cover 4 quarters, it does not play match coverage but plays a regular zone coverage. I thought these plays the defenders were supposed to match/ man up on offense when they passed through their zone. What am I doing wrong? Getting killed online h2h. Thanks for the help. Very confused  and frustrated here.
