I was playing today in superstar showdown mainly squads and all of a sudden it gives me a "unknown error please try again later" message. It kicks me out everytime i try to go into showdown mode. Getting really tired of this game with the money i have put into it. First its the ranking not working correctly then the new season hits and now this. Any ideas?
Having the same problem it won't let me get past the verification you keep saying EA servers are down it's been almost 2 weeks
Oh yeah about that.....you get a 1 second chance when u firstly start the game.....Basically restart the entire madden, and when u enter showdown, it will give u a milli second to hit ready. So do this, right when, and I mean right when you enter showdown ranked, ready up like bro....SUPER FAST.....I can't emphasize that enough. Be fast. You got this. The game got better

when i go to click the showdown link it gives the football animation load screen then goes right into that error. I cant even select anything.

I wanted to see if this worked for anyone else. Sometimes, we get the error "An unknown error has occurred." It is so generic that it could be caused by many things.
When u enter ranked squad, ready up fastly before the error sign shows up. When u do that, the error sign should still be on the screen.
Now don't click anything after u have already readied up, with the error still on the screen. Let the game load by selecting your position for u, all while the error message is still on the screen.
Now, once it has selected ur position for u automatically, the game will load u and ur team onto the field, and boom, the error message is gone for good. If it ever comes up again, same thing....ready up fast, before the error message shows up, and let it select ur position for u, without clicking off the error message.
Once it loads onto the field, the error message is gone. I was off the game for a whole 2 months cause of it. You just gotta be patient, that's all.
i cant even ready up. just gives me that right away when i click on it. I'll have to wait for a update. I noticed my squads rank icon is glitching so whenever i go to click on it the game crashes. I took everything off my team banner and put it back to default and still have the same issue.

Screwed me out of last season top 100 by freezing my RP and now this. EA help is a joke. I dont expect this to resolve itself anytime soon which sucks since the new season started on Wed.
