EA Server Disconnects

If I was a betting man I would say it's for sure an EA issue.  It just doesn't make sense that no other game title has issues, only the Madden 25. 

I would say at least 50% of the people I match up with in Madden 25 MUT say the same thing is happening to them.  I get people on my YouTube stream too popping in and asking if I know of a fix because EA told them it was an issue with their connection.  We just need enough people to keep posting to EA I guess before they will care and look into their issue.  I don't understand how they can reply with stating it's our connection or equipment if it's only this game and game mode.  Another thing that's odd is it only just started 3-4 weeks ago too.  Mind boggling!

You were right on the DNS settings too by the way; it did nothing to resolve the issue.  Again, just like you said...why would Madden 25 have a specific set of settings it needs to run when no other game works.

We're not aware of any issues currently and with the low amount of reports, it's looking to be ISP/equipment related. As a test, can you switch to using a mobile hotspot to see if that makes a difference? This is only as a test. It would help narrow this down to being an ISP/equipment issue if it works.

As far as why it could be connection related is because every game is different. They also don't all immediately disconnect when packets are lost. Our sports games do this though. Once there's enough packet loss, the disconnect occurs. Every game is also on different servers. Your ISP could be having an issue with the routing. There are a million different variables that make up a solid connection. Tracking down what is causing this is not easy. Especially when we have a very low number of reports when compared to the overall playerbase.

I tried the WiFi vs hard wired in my old apartment and it did nothing. DNS, MTU, changed settings on my router yielded no noticeable change at all. 
I even moved 2 years ago and upgraded my Internet from 500 to 1000mbps. 
And with all other games working just fine, my speeds, ping etc. being very good, it can only be Madden and has been all this time. 

I'm considering writing to Sony for a refund. The EU Digital Content Directive (2019/770) provides strong protection for consumers purchasing digital content. If the digital content is defective or does not perform as expected due to issues with the product (and not the user), you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
It places responsibility on the seller to ensure the product works as expected. 

The fact that its evidently the only gaming having these issues and that others have the exact same issues despite all efforts to make changes to their setups adds validity to the claim. 
My guess - at least in my case - always was that EA dont have dedicated Madden Servers in Europe causing me to deal with this (which in and of itself would be called 'not fit for purpose' and 'misleading' per EU law).

I see Madden NFL 25 is under maintenance right now, which means you can’t play online.  So I'm hopeful you guys are fixing the issue? 

You're stating you're not aware of any issues, but is it really feasible to think there's really thousands upon thousands that are just having ISP/equipment issues with Madden 25 MUT and not any other game or game mode?  I see why people don't pursue and just live with it because nothing is taken seriously and just thrown back at you as the customer and that's frustrating.  I've never had this issue with any Madden or EA game through the years. I'm a huge fan of EA and have always been a huge advocate too.

I'm making you aware there's an issue but I get I'm just one small fish in the sea.  If I can get enough of an up-rise from the gaming community will you take notice then and fix the issue?  Would it be best to ask people to just ask for a refund on any digital version they purchased from you guys?  Maybe when it is about money then EA will look into the problem?

I completed the test with the mobile hotspot and same thing occurred.  I so wanted you to be right so I could tell my ISP they were lying about there being no issues with the connections or equipment.  I even had a tech scheduled and had them come out as well to check everything; they charged me too by the way, ugh! 

I play other sports EA sports games online and none of them disconnect from the EA Server like this, only Madden 25.  In fact as a test I went on and played Madden 24' MUT all day and not one disconnect from the EA server.  Why is it just isolated to Madden 25 MUT?

I hate you're having issues too, I wish more people would come on here, but I'm starting to see why they don't.  They've all learned nothing will be done with it.  Heck, I'm still waiting on my Rookie Premiere players.  They gave me three tokens but only one of my players.  So frustrated with EA recently.

I was not aware of that law, that's interesting.  Madden 25' is the first game I purchased online as a download too.  I've always just used the disc, but thought I'd try the new age thing.  I still wonder if that is part of the issue?  Most people I encounter each day (about 50% of them) are having this issue and those all have the downloaded version of the game.  Is it coincidental, who knows?

I'm considering a refund too and would even be willing to try the actual disc version to see if it still occurs.  I'm very curious if it happens on disc too.  I've not met a person yet where it's happening to them if they have the disc version which is intriguing to me.
