Game crashes when trying to open ultimate freeze pack

Just like the title says any time I try to open my ultimate freeze pack I got from the epic pack choice on season 5 of mut it crashes my game. I get a message that the servers cannot handle my request and it immediately boots me to the title screen. I have restarted my console and have even tried opening the pack on the madden 25 companion app and I still get the same message that the servers cannot handle my request. I just want to open my pack.
