Madden 25 PC Freezing During Games – Completely Unplayable

My copy of Madden NFL 25 on PC freezes consistently during every game, no matter the game mode or settings.

The freezing usually starts in the second quarter and gets worse as the game goes on. By the third or fourth quarter, it becomes completely unplayable with freezes happening after nearly every play. Sometimes it starts even earlier.

This happens in every single game I play.

I have already repaired the game through the EA App. I deleted the config and settings files. I set all graphics to the lowest settings. I forced DirectX 11. I tried fullscreen, windowed, and borderless. I reinstalled the game completely. I disabled all background apps and overlays. I monitored CPU, GPU, and RAM usage — everything is normal. I even had a certified technician inspect my PC, and there were no issues.

None of this fixed the problem. This seems like a serious game-level bug, possibly memory-related.

I need this escalated to the Madden 25 dev team. This is a brand new release and is unplayable on my system despite being fully up to spec.

Thats strange never had problems. Now I dont play online just against the computer. What hardware do you have? Are you sure there is not something running in the background? I had on other games had to turn off settings so that other things didnt popup and interrupt or crash game. IS this the only game or program thats crashing?

I have been trying to update roster to play franchise offline and cant seem to get it to work, Have you had any luck with that?

Sadly this is what happened to a lot of PC users, including me, since madden 24. They never fixed the issue throughout the course of either game. Simple solution that I am doing going forward: abandoning the madden franchise. Tired of wasting my money for a game that is unplayable. I wish I could have some of the complaints other users have, like blocking or tackling issues, but on PC, you can’t even get to those issues because the game itself is unplayable. Too bad. Maybe there will be a class action suit one day where I get my $150 back.
