The System File Checker item below is most likely to help but do try the other steps too, thanks.

  1. Clear the EA app cache: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
  2. In the EA app, click on the game and then Manage, Repair
  3. Make sure your display is connected to your GPU and not the motherboard video output
  4. Run System File Checker to help ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

    ive found the only way to get it to start is to run the ea app in offline mode then start the game but thats very inconvenient

    Same here. Ive tried everything. The only game I can't launch is madden. all my other games work fine
