Stuck When Exiting to Menu from Ongoing Game

Ever since the last big update to Madden NFL 25, if I'm in the middle of a game in superstar mode, when I pause the game and go to the options menu...if I push Exit to Menu, the game gets stuck on a loading screen and never returns me to the menu. I finally have to push the windows key to minimize the game, right click on it in the taskbar, and then close the window, and then restart the game. It will do this 9 times out of 10.
