I am having this exact issue with my friend when we do 2v2 or 3v3. However, something interesting is when we select play as any role and I get Offense and he gets Defense, it works with no issue. But if we load and it selects me as Defense, then we get the "servers cannot process your request " and he will get the desync error. People have generated new lineups to try and fix the issue, but that did not work for us.
I'm having the exact same issue with duos and we are both on Xbox in the same room, it won't let me be offense and my buddy be defense but it works when I'm defense and he's offense but he's new to the game and struggles to run squads offense. Also it let's him be defense and me be offense when we try 3v3 with someone else at head coach so I'm not sure what's going on.
