Cut or trade injured players

Can the players that are not still in the playoffs be taken off injured reserve that would be great. If all the players can be taken off injured reserve, that would be great to. I don't understand why this game doesn't give us the option to shut off pre-existing injuries in the main menu. We shouldn't have to start a franchise mode to do that. In real life, nfl teams are able to cut or trade Injured players. So why does this game lock those players on teams. Can I get an explanation for that?
