Delay of Game - Frozen

I got sidetracked and got a delay of game. I hit pause (this is vs CPU) and when I come back the refs are in a huddle and I can't resume game. It happens in MUT events or vs CPU mode. I have to quit out eventually resulting in a loss. Super annoying. 

Also, Madden is the only game the right side of my curved screen has some weird black trails....like theyre being deleted from life in Marvel end game and slowly turning to ash.
