Imported players name is “inappropriate”

I tried to export my 26 college football player into the madden 26 game, but when i go to import the player, it immediately gets flagged for having an inappropriate name, and says the name will be changed. the name for the player is john smith. then, the game freaks out and gets stuck on the same prompt no matter what i click. i have to restart the game just to get out of it. i’ve tried to troubleshoot, but nothing. seen dozens of other people having the exact same issue with no solutions being offered.

what gives.
