Lineup crashes after clicking on it

after starting Madden and going to Mut when I go to click on lineup the screen crashes and goes back to the main menu but none of the other modes do that just when I click on lineup

Why? Why is there extreme lag all of a sudden. This literally makes franchise unplayable. It is unacceptable if we have to wait til the next Title Update to fix this!!
