Passing Meter - Can't hide?

I'm using the Revamped Passing option and have selected "Hidden" for both the Reticle Visibility and Meter Visibility options under Game Options within settings.

When passing, I still see the meter despite hidden being selected. Is this expected behavior or a known bug?
