Hey EA Sports team,
I’m writing this as serious feedback about Madden’s career modes because I genuinely think this is something a lot of players feel, and it’s been missing for a while.
A great example of what made career modes more immersive was Madden NFL 19, especially Face of the Franchise / Longshot. Even though it wasn’t perfect, it had real structure and personality. You had combine-style moments, interviews, draft projections, training sequences, and even road trip-style scenes that made it feel like you were actually living the journey of a player trying to make it to the NFL. It created a real sense of progression, pressure, and story. In comparison, newer Madden Superstar / career modes feel much more stripped down. They are more menu-based and less immersive, and a lot of that “journey” feeling is gone. The experience feels like it starts in the NFL without enough buildup or storytelling to make the player’s career feel personal or meaningful.
I completely understand that EA Sports College Football exists now, and that it handles the high school and college side of player development. That makes sense as a separate game and a separate experience, and I’m not asking for Madden to replace that. However, even with that being the case, Madden’s Superstar mode still needs more identity, story elements, and immersion on its own. There should still be cutscenes, interviews, personality moments, and career progression storytelling within the NFL portion of the journey. Right now, it feels like that layer of immersion has been reduced too far.
Even small improvements—more cutscenes, more dynamic interactions, more narrative depth in career progression—would make a huge difference in making players feel connected to their created athlete again. This isn’t about wanting “more features for the sake of it”—it’s about bringing back the feeling of actually living a football career instead of just managing menus and upgrades.I appreciate the work that goes into Madden every year, and I’m sharing this because I genuinely want to see the career experience reach the level it used to have in terms of immersion and storytelling.
Thank you for your time.
