Receiver getting stuck behind the DB

1/2 of the routes the receiver is behind the DB, then just bumps into them and slows down, then bumps into them and slows down, then the ball is 15ft in front of the receiver. The difficulty setting doesn't seem to matter. I have found lowering the cpu pass coverage to help this issue, but then the DBs are basically useless.
