Superstar League menu missing selection options

After completing my avatar player's 24th season, and with two years left on his team contract, the post season menu selections acted strangely.  Vice a couple of advance to next week button options selected before the game went through the motions to simulate the post season and then return to the next season's pre-season game selections:  Training, Community, Game Select etc ..., instead the game forced me to go through four individual weekly advances.

Then, the Superstar League menu screen is regenerated, but my avatar player is suddenly not in his team uniform, but instead the generic road uniform non themed, and worse there are no menu buttons to select from where the options to go through pre-game training, the weekly community interaction, and then ultimately to either advance to the regular season or play the pre-season game.  That area of the menu screen is instead entirely blank.

Also the top menu line where you scroll through from Play to Character to Skills to Stats, to Store is missing the Stats option.  In the Play option all that is displayed below is an X button option to view chapter objectives.

In short there is nothing at all to select to play a game.

If I scroll over to Character, and select Swap Character, I still see the avatar player option and he is dressed in the team uniform for which he was signed.  

I did not see much less select any options to retire my player, void the team contract, or in any way do something that would cause the team to cut me.  I doubt they would since I was the league MVP in the prior season and led the team as QB to the Super Bowl title.

What is going on here?

  • I'm having a very hard time understanding why this post has been languishing for four days without any reply.  Three people are listed as working for EA, presumably to interact with bug reports.  Yet, none of these three people can find the time over four days to even acknowledge this bug report?  

    Let me make this clear.  This bug is preventing me from playing the game using the only game mode I am interested in playing.  I have zero interest in online game play.

    Honestly dude, try and get a refund. EA have proven time and time again they don't care about certain game modes

  • It would seem that sadly that is exactly where we are at now.  I will seek a refund.  There is no reason at all for a company to ignore a bug report as clearly explained as this one, especially when the bug prevents play, not merely degrades the quality of it.  To my review, this is inexcusable.  There are two people here, one a community manager and the other a community admin, who are hired to respond to inputs like the one I made.  

    I can respect a simple, "Sorry, but right now we don't have a solution for this, but we will investigate this further."  But, what I cannot excuse is for a full business week to go by without anyone at EA bothering to even acknowledge the report.  

    The shame of this is that until this bug cropped up and prevented game play, I really enjoyed the game.  But, if software companies are going to be unresponsive to clear issues then it doesn't leave any room for customers other than to seek a full refund.
