Wait to put up receiver icons

When I'm playing in a game whether it be in season mode or in an arena game I will snap the ball and than put my hand on the analog stick so I can move my quarterback around. However recently I have started to notice that sometimes when I do this the quarterback will than just immediately throw the ball to the receiver. I don't why this is happening whether I'm just missing the analog stick which I highly doubt is the problem because it has happened way too much to me as of late. So something about the receivers icons or the analog stick should be fixed because last time in made me throw in interception in an arena game on a play that I think I would have been able to score a touchdown on. This has become incredibly annoying and I don't understand why this keeps happening to me.
