Feature Suggestion – Franchise Mode (Offline Solo Play) - OWNER VIEW
I’d like to suggest a new Watch & Adjust mode for Franchise Mode, at least for offline solo play.
The goal is to allow players to experience Franchise as a true head coach or general manager, without directly controlling players on the field.
Core Features:
- Ability to watch CPU vs CPU games live with broadcast-style presentation
- Limited coaching control only:
- Substitutions
- Formation adjustments
- Defensive alignments and audibles (optional)
- Display the play selected by your coaching staff before or during the play
- Optional toggle:
- Show opposing team’s play after the play ends (on/off for realism)
- Side stat panels:
- Individual player stat boxes (QB, RB, WR, defensive leaders, etc.)
- Team stat summaries visible throughout the game
Why This Matters:
- Appeals to simulation-focused Franchise players
- Adds depth without impacting competitive balance
- Creates a realistic NFL broadcast and coaching experience
- Bridges the gap between playing Madden and managing a real franchise
This would significantly enhance immersion and long-term Franchise replay value.
This mode would make Franchise feel less like a game and more like running an actual NFL team.
