Future madden games need a complete mechanical reset
I’m not sure where the games went so wrong, but this is insanely poor creation of a game. I don’t hate the concept of having superstar mode, but it cannot be at the cost of having a make a player in franchise mode. Superstar mode is great…

the execution however is entirely unplayable. The complete inability to turn off wear and tear and edit really any setting aside from difficulty and click settings is absolutely absurd. This is made worse by the fact that we can’t edit sliders to make anything more enjoyable. There’s too much of a difference between difficulty levels. Rookie and pro are so easy that I can hang 90+ on the best teams in the game, go up to All-pro and all-madden and it becomes competitive for all the wrong reasons. In games past it was competitive because the offenses and defenses respectively reacted way quicker, picked up on tendencies, and overall just played better, making you have to up your game to keep up and win and you wouldn’t always. This years edition the “increased difficulty” stems purely from the fact that I get hit more as a product of the horrendous blocking mechanics in this game getting worse, resulting in my player suddenly being completely incapable of making any plays at all due to the overhauled rating loss mechanics from wear and tear. Get sacked 7 or 8 times and have -19 throw power and -22 speed. Which brings me to the poor blocking mechanics, you literally can’t run the ball, especially in superstar mode, half of the lineman double team defenders, while leaving the guy right in front of them untouched and having a free run at the backfield. This actually will happen where the entire o-line is double teaming somebody resulting in a grand total of 3 defenders being blocked and 5 players getting in the backfield before my drop back/handoff animation is completed. This game is an abomination and while there’s some redeeming qualities, even those are ruined by the aforementioned problems making them unenjoyable. These must be fixed before the release of next years game or else people will finally stop buying your product
