Is there a better way to get influence with players as a CB or LB? I play decent and get B+ to A ratings in every game but the rest of my team sucks. I get all the negatives for players when I can't make a play on every down. I get the starting role then get stuck because I don't get 6 ints and 7 fumbles a game. It's really annoying.
Same. I'm playing MLB and can't get past the team leader chapter because I'm not getting a pick and deflection every game. My influence with teammates is literally going backwards.
The same here. I play as a CB. Get As nearly every game. I have the #1 scoring defense, 2 of the top 3 sacks leaders and im tied for 1st with interceptions and my QB influence is 0 because giving up a 1st down is impacting me more than getting off the field on 3rd down. If the opposing team has 7 1st downs and give up 2 TD, which is a great defensive game, that's-410 points to my QB influence. But if I have a pass break-up, 2 tackle and 10 3rd stops and a bunch of great covers, it's only +235. And because my QB is at a zero (0), he is garbage. So im mostly playing on short fields because of turnovers or 3 and outs. Then the animation saying im doing a bad job when I just had an A+ game.
We should get influence on all sacks and turnovers. Especially if we get penalized when someone else gives up a td. A 3rd down stop getting off the field is worth 3 times a 1st down given up to start a drive. And the QB shouldn't be so dramatically impacted on little things like a first down. In real life (which madden is supposed to be trying to get to) the QB loves to get the valley back and go to work on Offense. This is one of the worse parts about superstar. It should be a simple and fast fix.
I'm going through the same thing with my MLB I play bad coverage two to three time a game and my influence with my CB goes down so I'm stuck on it and my influence for my QB is stuck between 3 and 4 even thought I have the best defense and how them to no score but get penalized for not doing constant three and outs but I have a DE on my team with maxed out influence and all I have to do is play good coverage I don't know why they don't have the same thing for CB to raise their influence
I wonder whose idea it was to make it so you get penalized on your LB or CB when you teammates gives up a touchdown or first and the only way to get a good amount of influence on defense is getting a sack, force fumble, pick 6, or interception yet if you play good coverage or get a tackle you only get 35 influence and you also don't get any influence for you teammates doing something positive on defense but you get penalize for you teammates mistakes
