Can we talk about load times?

One of the, if not the most annoying thing in Madden are the load times, why does it take ~5 seconds to load a character menu. Improved load times were one of the most advertised things for the game and it didn't deliver. Yes loading into actual games are faster but who was complaining about that??? How is it faster to load an entire stadium than it is to load a garbage character model and a menu? Game isn't even available yet and it's already terrible.

Edit: I DARE someone from EA to respond to this because I am genuinely curious as to what they have to say
