Totally agree on the run blocking. I'm sorry but TEs getting blown up on the edges consistently is laughable... especially when it's George Kittle and he pancakes DEs into the ground with regularity. All in all it doesn't matter how highly rated your o line is, they all are making the same mistakes...which means it clearly not being coded properly.
- Double Teams RARELY climb up to the next level and LBs always get a clear shot at the RB be it over the top or underneath the blocks.
- TEs...see above. They're NOT WRs...give them some respect in the running game.
- Also, with all the improvements and new mechanics for D lineman , what is there for the o line as a counter. All the "super wins" go to the D line and o lineman rarely get pancakes or impact blocks at the 2nd and 3rd levels.
- D lineman need to stop being able to run down RBs and WRs on the edge as much as they do. Hell, we've got d lineman running them down all the way to the goal line. Umm...what?
- One thing I'd like to see, is instead of having the "extreme" QB scramble movements, we could also have slighter moves by just flicking the Right Stick (Up, down, left, right, and angles) to simulate slight pocket movements to go along with it. (I.e shoulder rolls)
- I'd also like to see a "check with me page" in the audible system using the L3 button. Pre-established plays which compliment each other in every playbook separate from our set audibles.
- And yes...please bring back the "pancake block penalty" for light boxes. It's almost 10 now and folks still run light boxes as a crutch instead of matching up personnel. This is FOOTBALL, little guys should get pushed around when big guys get their hands on them. End of story.
