Locked Uniforms??

I just got the game at a decent price and want to use the Lions all black color rush with the blue helmet, but the uniform is locked. I am a Franchise Mode only player. Is this some shady way of them forcing me to play MUT or buy this premium pass crap? Or is this just a bug? If its not a bug how do I unlock these locked uniforms?
