Madden Penalties

I found that the Madden franchise has gotten worse and worse especially with penalty calls.  I'm trying to figure out how a tackle at the legs, which is nowhere near the head, results in a facemask penalty.  Madden punishes you for being good.  It's like playing against the Chiefs in real life with fake calls.
