Add more time...... Teams milking the clock in the first half is not competitive. Its cheap. Add more time or something

How about a frequency of play clock speed change based on the QB's composure instead of the chew clock option?
Not to be a nitpicker, but I like 4 min quarters for online ranked games. Follow me on this...
We all know that quitting games is a problem at ANY quarter length. As an avid online REGS player and tournament organizer, this is a point of consideration because of the time, number of players, and the availability of the next game. I, for one, NEVER quit games unless there's an outside emergency and have vacated less than 5 of the thousands of games I've started in over 23 years.
I remember Madden 2003 when ranked online games allowed players to set their own Qtr Length... I think we all agree that was a bad idea as a ranked game could be anywhere from 1 to 15 minute quarters... ARGHHHHH...
15-minute quarters were way too long, produced scores in the hundreds, and ended up with ridiculously gaudy stats. Conversely, 1-min Qtr lengths were way too short and were a recipe for high pressure blitzing, milking the clock, and potentially resulted in one team running as few as one offensive snap for the entire game.
When games were 6-min, they were still too long; most games ended with one player quitting. 2-min quarters were too short, leaving the ideal quarter length somewhere between 3-5 minutes.
When MaddenUniversity.com organized and sponsored tournaments, we used 3-minute quarters. It gave use what we believed was the best balance of quality football matches, and timing. A full game lasted approximately 30 minutes, but about 33% of matches ended by the 21-pt Mercy Rule. We could generally get through a 3 player qualifying round in an hour and 15 minutes, determine the division winner, and setup a bracket pretty quickly. That said, I always thought 3-minute quarters were great for tournament play, but less than ideal for online games - leaving us with 4 or 5 minutes as the best length...
With regard to whether 4 or 5 is the best... I prefer 5, but each minute extends the game approximately 10 minutes of real time. Seeing that 5-min quarters require ~50 minute time commitment, most online games end via a quit, and there's no real penalty for exiting a game early; 5 minutes makes less sense because very few players reach the natural end of a game.
That leaves 4-minutes as the magic number... You'll have the most realistic stats, the least rage quits, and the eventual better experience overall.
All that said, playing defense and stopping the run will prevent opponents from milking the clock... Just saying...

Yes, PLEASE increase quarter length in H2H back to 5 minutes instead of 4 minutes! 4 is way too short and too many players just milk the clock. No fun at all anymore. It used to be 6 minutes, then you cut it back to 5 a couple of years ago, then down to 4 in Madden 26. I went back to to playing Madden 25 and won't play '26 (or buy '27) unless you change it back to at least 5 minutes. I'll just keep playing '25 on my PS4 until you stop supporting it. I even bought a PS5 so I could play '26 not realizing you had changed it to 4 minutes.
Sub DubCity74,
EA has used quarter lengths from 6 min to 3 min for Ranked games over the 23 years of online play, as well as various options for tempo (Chew Clock, No Huddle, Normal, Accelerated Clock, etc.).
While I share your pain when people milk the clock, you could stop them by getting the ball back for your offense. Whether that's via good defense that forces a punt, a turnover on downs, a turnover, or whatever FOOTBALL means are at your fingertips to take control of the clock away from your opponent.
Simply put, OFFENSE controls the clock. If you want control of the clock, stay on offense. Extend your drives. Control the clock, so your opponent can't.
The Qtr length has been 4-min for long enough that I don't think it will change again given the dataset over the years... The only thing left is for you to step your defensive game up so the clock is on your team OR get better at scoring quickly so the clock isn't a factor.
