Running gameplay is awful after latest update

I’m playing ALL Madden in Franchise mode with sliders set to make running as challenging as possible. Player run blocking is set to zero, CPU tackling is set to 100. Speed threshold is set to zero (I’ve tested thresholds from 0 to 100 and zero is the most challenging when it comes to running against the CPU’s defense line.)

All this said, it’s still way too easy to run. I’m averaging 6+ yards per carry every game, with running backs with ratings of 70 to 75.

Even worse, I can call a run play every down and it will either be a stop at the line of scrimmage for 1 or 2 plays, then it will give up a 15+ yard run, every time. There’s no middle ground. The CPU can’t adjust and figure out that I’m calling run plays every down.

Finally, throughout all of the title updates and regardless of any slider settings, there is no advantage to having running backs that have high strength and high break tackle ratings. They’re usually just slower. Really disappointing how the player weights, height, size and strength don’t feel unique and add to the physics of the game. I honestly thought Madden 25 did a better job with player physics and how weight, height, size and strength impacted gameplay.

Hoping other people notice the same so EA can address everything.

btw, I couldn’t post this in the franchise discussion thread. Kept receiving an html error…

  • The run game is entirely too easy especially on All Madden since the latest update. Makes the game unenjoyable/unplayable for solo franchise lovers.

I'm glad someone else noticed this! The patch yesterday didn't help either. No clue how this is going unnoticed by EA.
