Secondary Players/LB's vs the QB run

We have to push down on one of the stick, I forget which one, to get our defenders to go after a running Qb. 

Pdence267​ it's R3 on the Xbox.  it should be based on awareness, not our awareness. The secondary just doesn't attack.  i can throw a pass to the outside, the cpu safety reacts late and runs in a straight line to me and all i have to do is a slight turn and he'll keep running past LOL.  the secondary is no messed up right now.  dline for users get too many sacks.  i get like 8 a game and i don't even have to blitz.

Putting the actual mechanics aside, I agree with this. It should be based on awareness, and not our awareness. I'm fully aware of what i need to do, and what they should be doing, but is the CPU?

Pdence267​  So, when you 're running down the sideline, and you dart right for example, they just keep running in a straight line?

EA_Shepard​ Only the Safety stays in a straight line and doesn't react to anything. CB's will react to movement. This same thing i have seen on both Madden 26  and CFB 26 games. This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but, i do know when i have a safety coming straight for me or running in a straight line and i'm running outside that i just have to make a slight turn and he will just keep running past me, stop, then turn around.  i'm not sure how it happens, but, i have seen this several times.  The safety doesn't look like he has any kind of pursuit angle on him at all. if i see this again i'll try to post here so you have a visual of what i'm talking about.

EA_Shepard​ CB's in zones and LB's in Zones will stand in spot, facing the QB and don't react to the QB crossing the LOS.  i think at that point the zones need to be more aggressive against that run once the QB crosses that LOS, based on awareness on their rating of course, because the QB cannot throw the ball at that point. Currently they tend to stay in their spot too long before reacting to the run.  

i'll have to watch the CPU and their reactiveness on the runs that cross the LOS.  i'm usually just watching my player on offense, to be honest. i have never even thought about or looked at the CPU and how they react to the same situation.  if they could react the same, that would be great! i love to have a challenging game :)
