Feedback on 2-Way Players, Running Game, and Speed Balance

I have a few things that I find really hard to stomach that in 2025 EA still has going on. I do like this Madden a lot but these things need to be addressed. Please EA. 

1. You finally gave us 2 way players…Can we PLEASE have STATS for BOTH offense AND defense???!!! Like why have GAD players that have to be only offensive or defensive stat based. Come on now. It’s enough!!

2. And I sure hope this is coming. Everyone agrees how hard it is to run the ball realistically. Yes there’s a few amped up rush plays that work well, but most get so blown up due to blocking assignment fails, it’s pathetic. Sorry.  And the deep dive said this would be better than ever??

3. Another deep dive promise was that the fastest players would feel really fast. This is not true at all. I have a 99 speed acceleration agility and COD guy getting caught by DL players. Legit. Can’t outrun anyone unless he gets way ahead. Something’s really off and that ls just one example. I have 95 speed DBs who get blown out by 88 speed receivers? 

4. Algorithm pre determined animations based on wha?? Chance?? DB is in perfect position to make a pick and somehow the ball winds up in the receivers hands. Like not even close EA. I get contested catches type stuff but this is CLEAR pick in DB hands and then MAGIC - caught by avg. receiver. 

EA it’s way early I get it but please fix these things. If anyone else agrees - say so.

    Thanks for putting this together and sharing your thoughts. It’s clear you’ve already spent a good amount of time with Madden 26, and feedback like this goes a long way in showing where the experience can improve.

    The point about two-way players really stands out—if they’re in the game, their stats should reflect both sides of the ball. That kind of detail would help track performance.

    Running the ball is another area that comes up often. When blocking assignments don’t hold up, the ground game feels off and limits the variety of ways to move the ball. On top of that, speed not matching what’s shown on player ratings is tough.

    Fast players should feel fast, and when they don’t, it throws off the balance of gameplay. 👈This is a big one for me!

    Animations can be frustrating, especially when defenders are in a position to make a clear play, but the outcome feels predetermined. Those moments can break immersion and make it feel like the game isn’t rewarding good decision-making.

    Feedback like this is being passed along to the team, and it helps a lot to hear directly from players where the gameplay doesn’t feel right.
