Why can't we see blocking assignments on running plays?

When you press L1/LB during a passing play, it shows you exactly how your O-line will be blocking the defense, and make adjustments (half/full-slide). This is extremely useful because it also highlights unblocked defenders that can blitz in and create pressure. Why is this view not available for running plays? O-line blocking assignments are just as important, if not moreso, on running plays to gauge gaps and identify blitzes that will blow the play up. What's more, is that this option is available within College Football, so I'm curious if this was intentionally omitted, or if it's a glitch.
