Crashing Squads H2H

The last week or two, me and a buddy haven’t been able to play Squads H2H. We get readied up and it sends us to the loading screen thinking we’re finally going to play, but it sends us to the main menu after a couple seconds. We’ve seen problems be solved with removing not loaded cards from the lineup or fulfilling the visuals (uniforms, stadiums, etc). But that did nothing. 

One thing that does seem to work is when I’m on offense and their on defense the game loads us right into a game. 

I’m wondering if there is a work around to let us switch up the roles and be able to play the game across the board.
