Pre-ordered Madden 26 Deluxe on Steam. Every time I go to launch it via Steam or EA app, I get the splash screen then a black screen and then an error citing directx. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, updated windows, updated EA app, restarted my laptop, updated nvidia, ran as administrator, nothing works. I’ve never had this much trouble and all my other games work fine. Please help. I’ve been trying to fix this for hours.
I have tried all of your online troubleshooting steps. Game still fails to launch via Steam!

Mine won't launch on the EA App either. Seems that this problem is affecting a lot of people and EA couldn't care less...
my game crashes in mut as soon as i pick a first play no matter online or offline??? i’ve tried to much but i can play offline in franchise and quick play easy what the hell is going on with mut right now?
Try going to the bottom of this link and click on the x86 and the x64 links to download updated c++ redistributes. Once you download them go to file manager and click downloads, then click on it allow it to install, do that for each one, restart your computer and try Madden again

Did not work for me either.
Waited 4 hours to chat with EA support (either tons of launch issues or criminally understaffed). Told to rollback drivers and reboot. Didn’t work.
Had two different friends with IT backgrounds try to make it work and couldn’t. Tried it on Steam Deck, wouldn’t work because of OS. Tried on a Win 10 laptop and it launched but can’t play any games. Just the menu options.
Someone please tell me if this directx issue gets resolved. Such a waste paying to play early release. If it doesn’t resolve soon, I’ll be asking Steam for a refund.
