Mouse player movement gameplay issue

The short: You can use keyboard and mouse against CPU but not against real players, making it impossible to use the mouse feature breaking my ability to play the game against people. 

The long: I recently started playing Madden MUT and when I first played an online game against another person for the event I could not move my QB, RB, my defensive player, or pass lead to my receivers. Now I must admit I do play keyboard and mouse, its all I have played since it first game out on PC so at first I thought my mouse just died but after plugging it in, still nothing. I eventually connected an Xbox controller and of course it worked... 
I tested it again and I can play with my keys on my keyboard to both my player during a run and the QB around in the pocket but that is **bleep** near impossible imo. When you play in a solo franchise or against CPU in general, such as in MUT, you can use the mouse to move your player and pass lead but not against other people which makes no sense. I had no issue in Madden 25 playing online against other users using Keyboard and the mouse specifically for player movements so did EA break the function to be able to use keyboard and mouse? I'm sure I'm one of the only people experiencing this issue as I am a rare breed of keyboard and mouse player, probably the only one so I doubt this will get fixed any time soon. 

The image shows a circle with a cursor in it I'm sure not a lot of players have seen this ever but this shows the player movement from which you control with a mouse. It is clearly shown in my offline franchise where I am the patriots but every single time I play online it is nowhere to be seen.
