Mut Coop de sync

When selecting defensive captain and beginning game it will immediately cause a dysnc or sever error. Tried new line up , clearing cache, but if I select offense it will allow me to play duos also I can be defensive captain in trios. 
looking for a solution if anyone else has had this issue and resolved it.
