When I try to play Superstar, I get a menu to choose which position I'd like to be, but no matter which one I choose, I get an error saying "There was an error retrieving the data. Please, try again later."
I was trying to give it some time, but it's been this way since launch and it seems like other people are able to play.

Been like that still for for the past 5 updates
I'm on PS5 just trying to switch to my quarterback superstar and everytime I try I get an endless loop of a retrieving error. I saw someone comment about editing the current player your on, and I tried but I just get an error with no message it just says error. I can't even play a game with the current player I'm on. I just get endless loops of errors. EA has completely RUINED madden, I can only pray that 2k or some other sports gaming company gets rights to it soon, cause this is just ridiculous.
To fix this bug you have to change an appearance with your import/create a new player. I put one tattoo on mine and then it worked. Hope this helps
