Anyone Else Ever Been Nerfed?

Over the last three weeks, I’ve had the unfortunate displeasure of being in conflict with EA over them selling me two field passes — of which I paid Madden points after having spent US dollars to acquire those Madden points — and me not getting said field passes at all.

In my frustration after it was clear to me that they would do nothing about selling me something that they were not provide, nor would they give me my money back. I became very agitated and rude. I posted stuff on X. I don’t know what else I could do. I’d speak out about this theft.

Apparently, I struck a nerve and in what can only be ascertained as a retributive action my team has been Nerfed by EA.

Before you think that I’m crazy tell me what explains how a a team with an OVR of 87 could beat a team with a OVR of 95? This has happened twice to me. My team is rated 95 or 96 depending on my set up and I’ve been beaten by a team with a OVR of 87 and I’ve been beaten by a team with an OVR of 86.

In Madden, we pay attention to how our team is performing on the field. It was really easy for me to notice that suddenly my players had half the speed they used to. It was very confusing — very very confusing at first. But enough people have now seen the issue that I have played against that I am extremely confident that I’m not crazy. In fact it’s so obvious with my team that groups of kids have sat and watched because they couldn’t believe that they’re 80 something rated cornerback for example could keep up with a Rashid Shaheed with a alleged speed of 99, or consistently guard DK Metcalf, a 96 OVR on my team. Last night, a similar befuddlement fell on an adult and several people who watched his 87 OVR team nearly beat me in tournament play.

I have recordings. There is no explanation for the lack of performance that my team is currently experiencing other than something happening at EA directly against my Madden ultimate team. I do not believe this is a conspiracy against me, I believe I pissed off someone who had the capacity to act maliciously against me

The sad thing is I have no idea how to get this issue addressed and it makes me wonder how many other people have experienced similar fate

And before you start to try to explain this off as like me not setting my abilities correctly or etc. let me assure you, I’m willing to screen share with you exactly what I have and I hope that you would understand that I have exhausted all of the remedies in regards to abilities lineup, etc., to try to resolve this problem.

I have a Seahawks team team that is maxed out on chemistry and is maxed out on playoffs chemistry. Prior to me being nerved my team was fast — very fast. A sudden and stark difference occurred and I have tried everything to get back to where I was

I hope that somebody will stop abusing their position and EA’s customers like me. But in order for that to happen, I think more people need to step forward if you have also been suspicious or have reason to believe that this company retaliates against its customers by choosing winners and losers in the game through manipulation of player abilities, statistics, etc..

I am trying, still trying to resolve this in an informal way — that is sans legal actions. But I’m not sure that will prove to be possible.

Now here’s a big test will they even let me post this on one of their forums? I guess if you’re reading this, they did, and maybe we can consider that a sign that somebody at EA thinks this issue needs attention. Maybe somebody at EA can reset my account as a remedy at which point I will drop this issue and just be happy to play the game from a fair starting point like everybody else gets to.

Also, just so you all know who I am a little bit — I’m not a crazy person, nor am I one to spread false foods or revel in drama. In fact, just a couple years ago, I won an award in journalism. For those who understand what that means, it means that my grasp of objective reality is pretty strong and my capacity to articulate that in ways that reach people is likewise robust. I am a credible messenger.

The moral of the story, however, is as such: if EA sells you something and never provides it yet keeps your money anyways, don’t complain. Otherwise, they will wield their power against you. After all, if they can do it to me, they can do it to any of us.
