Kicking (Classic Madden Meter)
I've got "Classic Madden Meter" -> "Tap and Hold" in my Settings, but (so far) all PATs and Kickoffs/Punts in various game modes (SOLO -- I'm not playing Competitive).
What am I missing? I'd like to set up M26 to use the Classic Madden Meter. Is this setting bugged or is something else overriding the setting? I have a sneaking suspicion that the devs will start adding "Kick 50 Extra Points" sometime soon, and I have yet to get a good PAT. I finally gave up and just started going for 2 after every touchdown.
I'm using M26 on X-Box Series X ...
What makes the kicking "seem" beyond horrible (it's horrible adjacent atm) is that the kick off meter requires holding down the button to gain distance. If you don't hold it down, your kick won't reach the landing zone.
Field Goals and PATs require EXACTLY opposite mechanics, therein lies the problem -- at least for PATs (I haven't tried field goals longer than about 30 yards which came up in one of the challenge series) -- if you hold down the button on PAT, the ball goes wide and you miss the kick.
But, if you tap + tap (barely even let the meter fill, release almost immediately, the tap the button a second time) you will make every PAT.
It took a LOT of trial and error and found it out just by dumb luck. Until they added PATs to the weekly's on Wednesday, I was going for two points after every touchdown.
Sorry for the delayed reply. My web browser was messed up.
