NFL Rivalries Player Items

There are no guaranteed sources for the NFL Rivalries player items.  The 77+ packs in the field pass appear to be giving out random player from Rivalries teams.  Is this by design?  We're just supposed to hope we randomly get one of these cards?

What gives EA?
