People who run same play and refuse to adjust

I would say more than ever i am encountering players who clearly play a lot but specifically on defense run one play no matter what. Even if i put up 40 points they refuse to run a different play or formation.

Are there a lot of madden players with minimal football knowledge regarding formations and the strengths and weaknesses of each? I’ve even encountered top 100 players doing this. It’s highly confusing to me. It’s also incredibly boring to play people that don’t mix things up. I run a lot of different plays on both sides of the ball and am balanced on offense. 

I think it’s highly detrimental to the game and really takes away from the experience that this has become so prevalent. Hopefully Madden 27 will have some kind of adaptive Ai or way to prevent and not encourage spamming as it’s the worst part of the game and un realistic. I suppose I understand why people do it if it’s working but why do people refuse to adjust and run one thing if it’s not? It feels like almost every other person I play is running a simpleton defense
