Refund

Has anyone actually tried to get a refund? I just did (PlayStation Store), and I think it might be impossible. They said they could not issue a refund because I downloaded and played the game (even though it is defective)...How would I know the game is defective unless I play it? I got the PS5 overheats and shuts off defect. This is absolute lunacy. Anyway, let me know if anyone has actually been able to get a refund. Thanks all and good luck!

I got it from Xbox. I complained they delivered an unfinished game before I left a 1 star review like others. These paid reviews are ridiculous.

That is awesome. The only way you can get a refund through the PlayStation Store is if you don't download the game at all, or if you do download it, you cannot play the game, otherwise you are out of luck. To get a refund through EA, you have to request a refund within 72 hours...But the same site also says there is a 90 warranty, but you have to go through the retailer...Which is not true, because the retailer (PlayStation Store) will not give you a refund if you have played the game. Here is what it says on the website:

We warrant to the original purchaser of a EA product that the product is free from defects in both material and workmanship for 90 from the day you bought it.

If the product is found to be defective within those 90 days, please return it to the original retailer together with proof of purchase.

This is insane. The product is 100% defective. I am getting a refund for this game if it is the last thing I do. It is 100% illegal to not give a refund for a defective product when the reason for not granting a refund directly conflicts with the written refund policy. It is the Magnuson-Moss Act of 1975,  and I read it.

Yup. Sounds about right with Sony. Thats one of the perks with Xbox is if you play it for a certain amount of hours and or if it doesn’t deliver what it advertises, you can get a full refund. This is so stupid. EA doesn’t care about the customers.
