connection with peer is lost

I bought madden 23 and was playing solos all day yesterday and then when I tried to play online, I would constantly lose connection to my opponent right at the start of the game. I tried hard resetting my PS5 and my wifi settings nothing works, I'm able to start the beginning of the game but then I get connection with peer is lost and I receive the Lost, . I think I've lost around 0-16 mut champions games because of this.

Try clearing your alternate MAC address with these steps -

    Go to your Xbox Settings

Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"

Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

Let me know what happens. Thanks!

    Hi there, @mambaking21

Thanks for reaching out about this. It sounds like you're on a wireless connection. Can you switch to a wire or is your router too far away?

  • I'm running across this issue currently. I've went from wired to wireless multiple times and had the same outcome. It cost me at least 20 games by now. I may get a full game in 1 out of every 8 tries.

You should definitely stick to a wired connection. Also, make sure you're using at least a Cat 6 ethernet cable. What platform do you play on?

  • I use a cat 6 and have the same issue and I play on Xbox series x

    Hello, @slimski24

I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes, plug in the modem/router and let it come back online. Then, plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
