Franchise mode crash to dashboard

Platform:Microsoft XBOX One

Date/time issue occurred August 8 2019/ 9 P.M. pst
What type of issue do you have? Crash/Freeze
Which mode has this happened in? Franchise Mode
Which part of the mode? Offline
Summarize your bug In my second year of franchise I cannot play a game. I'm a coach everything was fine I played one game. Then the next crashed and can't play it since. I select play game and on it's losing screen it crashes and sends me to Xbox dashboard. Please fix. I paid good money to play
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I am not sure. One minute the game was working the next it wasn't
What happens when the bug occurs? Whole game crashes sends me to Xbox home screen
What do you expect to see? I expect the game to get fixed as I paid $60 for it

Did you try the troubleshooting steps I relayed in this comment about power cycling the console?

I have the same issue as week. I tried unplugging the power cablee and restarting my Xbox. Nothing works. Please Help

Are you using custom rosters for your Franchise with created players?

I know it's not an ideal situation, but have you tried reinstalling the game yet to see if that would fix this? If you have the game installed on an external hard drive, make sure there aren't files on both the internal and external drive. That can cause some weird performance issues.

I am not using custom rosters, but I think I may have found a fix. In my franchise I simmed a few weeks, and cleared the cache on my Xbox. As you mentioned before you can do this by power cycling your Xbox. The issue is that after each game it seems to be freezing again at the loading screen. What I do is I power cycle my console after every game, and from there it runs smoothly. This may not be full proof but it’s an idea.

I'm actually having the same issue as OP, but I'm using a custom roster with a full 53-man team of created players. I've tried for a couple weeks now to start a franchise with this team but I haven't been able to do any training or games because it freezes or crashes.
Is this a common issue with custom roster franchises? Is there a known fix?

Is anything going to be done about franchise crashing to the dashboard the game is unplayable,cache has been cleared a reinstall was done, still nothing. Offline and cloud have the same issue.

Same issue on PS4. When I try to play a game in franchise it crashes. It also freezes when I go to the upgrade player screen and when I enter a drill in weekly training. The game is unplayable.

I’m trying to play the face of the franchise QB mode and the same thing happens to me every 2 games an “unexpected error” happens and when I reload the game nothing’s saved even though it “saved” after each game
