Franchise Mode Crashing

Product: Madden NFL 22
Platform:PlayStation 5 Digital Edition

Summarize your bug When I complete a game in franchise mode the game will crash and send me back to the playstation home menu without saving the progress in the game I just played. The only way I can avoid having to replay the game is by closing Madden 22 in the middle of the game and load back into the game in progress from the Madden main menu. This does not stop the game from crashing as more than 90% of the time it will still crash when I try to load into the game from the Madden main menu. I am playing the PS4 version of Madden 22 on a PS5 digital version. This bug was happening when I was playing on PS4 and continued when I upgraded to the PS5. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Madden 22 with no luck. This bug is still present when I try to play franchise mode games on other consoles while logged into my playstation network account. The bug has also been present in all types of franchises including CFM, fantasy draft CFM, offline and offline fantasy draft.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Complete a franchise game.
What happens when the bug occurs? The Madden 22 application will crash and ask me to submit a report, after submitting the report the application will close and I must open it again.
What do you expect to see? I expect to return to my franchise home screen after I complete a game instead of the application crashing and losing all my progress in the game.

    Hi, @Rq_nnection10 

    That's strange it's crashing after playing games. Do you get a specific error code and do you have anything plugged into your PS5's USB slots?

    I get error code CE-108255-1, and I have nothing plugged into my PS5's USB slots. While that is a common error code Madden 22 is the only application on my PS5 that crashes.

    I have the same issue. It floats from quarter to quarter. It's only head 2 head games. I can play cpu games fine. After plenty of restarts I can get to the 4th quarter but only for it to error out under 10 seconds. I have a clip from tonight's game where it did it. But I couldn't download it to post it here.

    I've seen this error pop up when there are over 100 friends on someone's PSN list. After clearing out all the friends it's fixed it for some players. 

    Also, do you have a custom uploaded profile image for your PSN ID? Custom avatars have caused strange technical issues for some of our games. 

    If you have facial recognition enabled on your PlayStation try disabling it under the Settings (even if you don't use it, PlayStation articles online mention disabling that can help).

    Have you tried the official steps from PlayStation's website regarding that error code?

    I don't have that many friends on there and I have ps avatar that is providing when you first register. All my games can be played online including other EA games just not madden.

    I was just over 100 friends on playstation network and removing some until I was under 100 seems to have fixed the problem. I have since played 4 franchise games and none have crashed after completing them where in the past they definitely would have. Thank you so much for your help!

    I tried everything but I didn't want to remove any of the friends I had. I don't have over 100. I got around 50 and usually play with them. But I will check here in a little bit.
