Franchise offline - unable to enter owner name when choosing owner mode.

Product: Madden NFL 21
Platform:Sony Playstation 4

Date/time issue occurred Ongoing
What type of issue do you have? Crash/Freeze
Which mode has this happened in? Franchise Mode
Which part of the mode? Offline
What is your Franchise League Name? Career
Summarize your bug New team set up in offline franchise mode. Change from coach to owner. Select type of owner. When you input first name and last name, screen flashes and reverts back for you to enter name.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? New team set up in offline franchise mode. Change from coach to owner. Select type of owner. When you input first name and last name, screen flashes and reverts back for you to enter name.
What happens when the bug occurs? Screen flashes and reverts back for you to enter name. You can bypass by just accepting and the name appears as “owner”
What do you expect to see? To enter first and last name and the system accepts it.

    Yes.  It’s odd as after I deleted the game and reloaded, the servers worked and I was able to enter my name as the owner.  Shortly thereafter, the servers stopped working for me and as

    i started a new franchise, I again am not able to enter my name.  You type in your first name and as you exit to enter the last, the screen flashes and reverts back.   It sure is these are related.

    Hmmm, gotcha. What are you trying to use as the first and last name, if you don't mind me asking? We've been seeing a lot of reports where names are getting flagged by the game's profanity filter, so I'm curious if this might be happening here as well.

    @EA_Kent Hi Kent. Same issue here. I tried the solution and it's not working for me. Xbox One platform.

    Hi @lawrigby89, 

    What were you trying to use for your owner's name, if you don't mind me asking? You've tried multiple different first and last names with no luck?

    Hello Kent. I am having this issue on my PS4. It wasn’t saving the name. It did save an owner’s name once. I noticed I had a team setting wrong so I deleted the franchise to change the setting. When I went to add an owner’s name I had that issue again.

    Thanks for the info! Would you mind posting this to the thread I linked above so EA_Blueberry can take a look? Last I heard he was still passing along information on this as reports were coming in.
