From my own experiences and others, it seems like losses in H2H matches don't provide any EXP rewards whatsoever anymore. Is this intentional, or a bug that should be reported? [EDIT: slightly modified the thread title to improve clarity if other players search for the same question]

I didn't ask for an "immediate response", I was looking for something earlier than 3 weeks, which I don't think is unreasonable, given you both responded to other posts on this forum which were posted after mine.You then went on to totally ignore my stated reasons why the new XP system is untenable and unenjoyable, and totally happened to ignore that previous years had better systems that have been scrapped for ????? reason?What material purpose was there to drop the possible coin rewards from 350,000 max to 25,000, aside from punishing people who play this game?Across the board the game is less rewarding, but costs more time and money to play.If you truly spend more than 1% of your time on this, no offense, but y'all should be fired. If I did my job poorly, releasing a premium project littered with exploits and bugs, then next year came back to charge people MORE for a product with all the same bugs and exploits AND actively made the experience more punishing and less rewarding, I would definitely be fired.I foolishly came back to this game this year hoping next gen would be better this time around. I played myself, and your scumbag company's incredible greed has finally put me off.

@EA_Blueberry thank you for the response. I do appreciate the time and I apologize for implying should be fired. Obviously you don't have anything to do with the game as it reaches sale. It is just frustrating that the only NFL product sometimes feels hostile towards me

Please understand that sometimes you may not get an immediate response because 1) we are investigating the issue or player feedback with our studio or 2) we are actually working with our studio to share player feedback to see if something new can be implemented.For this particular concern you have voiced, we noticed this feedback from players and we have been working with our Live Service Team to see if we can make adjustments to how XP worked when playing online H2H. Originally, if you lost, you did not get any XP. Last week, we shared with our players on Good Morning Madden over on Twitch that there was a change based on player feedback that XP has been added to online H2H games even if you lose a game. The way that XP works now is that if you win the game you are guaranteed 500XP for the win. Every quarter you play now whether win or lose, you get 100XP per a quarter. If you win the game and play every quarter, you would receive a total of 900 XP. This information should now be reflected in the summary screen as this was also another thing we worked with the studio to get implemented in game as that was not available at launch.Again, I know we all want immediate responses, but sometimes we just need to work through the process to ensure that we get the proper answers here. Thanks for your patience. I understand that you may think that myself and others spent maybe 1% of our time trying to get these changes done for our players, but please understand, I have spent a lot of hours of my time to work with the appropriate teams to see if we can get these changes in for our players. @Neo_Novalis @Drizzt9922 Thank you for the detailed feedback. Overall it sounds like you both want it based off performance for individual achievements in games. I like the idea of the scoring differential you suggested, @Neo_Novalis. I'd be nice if you received extra XP if you scored 28 points but still lost the game, that way it still rewards you for sticking into a tight game and putting up a good score despite a loss. If you play a higher ranked opponent, a handicap on how many points you earn would be nice to balance out games so XP distribution feels fair. I think these would fit well as bonus XP. I like to chew the clock myself because I focus on my run game. At the end of the day it's about who wins the game, no matter what got you there. That is the nature of the NFL. If a player doesn't have a great offense but a great defense, I suppose there needs to be XP rewards from a defensive side otherwise players that run the ball could fall behind in XP due to their game strategies. These are great submissions and thank you both for taking time out to write some detailed feedback on how you think the game would be better. I know games can get frustrating at times and everyone could use a place to vent. I know things got off to a rocky start in the thread but we sincerely appreciate this type of constructive feedback, @Drizzt9922 I'll swing this up the chain for you both. @EA_Blueberry do you really think that its great to be behind 0:17 at halftime in games against godsquads, cheesers or simply better player and be forced by @EA to finish the game just for a few xp´s or possibly get banned for quitting a not winnable game??mostly after those games there is popping up these opininion poll: "do you had fun in the previous game"? REALLY??? You dont want to know the missing 4th answer that i would like to give...

I spend 30 mins in game and get 500 XP on wins and on losses I’m not getting anything? I’m sure this is an oversight. I can sit and kick FGs and get 100 XP per kick. Something is off with XP this year please help.

@Drizzt9922 please do not bump your threads! it is against the forum rules. Unfortunately, I'm not able to answer your question myself. But if I had to guess, it might be the case because there had been a lot of reports from players in Madden 21 where bot accounts just ran the same plays in H2H all the time. Of course, they had been banned as soon as they had been identified (reported) but it decreased the fun for a lot of players if they faced a bot accounts. So, maybe this change has been implemented to avoid that some "players" exploit the fact that H2H losses got some rewards.

But as I said, that's just a guess.

Thanks for letting me know, won't do so again-- but I was hoping to get at least a one word response from someone EA associated!

I get that, but I feel like this is an unreasonable adjustment to that doesn't actually fit that problem. What i'm encountering now is that basically there is no reason to keep playing a game if it starts off poorly, because any more time sunk into a losing match is just a waste of my time. So i acutally find myself quitting matches earlier so I don't waste time on a losing game-- especially since the momentum seems to make comebacks even more improbable.
Just seems like they're punishing people for being bad at the game, making me choose to get no awards/xp and practice online, or just not play H2H but never get better at playing against humans. It reads to me as very anti-consumer.

If there is no bumping, what can I do to get an EA response? It's insane to me that no one is mentioning this fact and I can't even get a confirmation if it's intended or another of the plethora of issues that have come with this launch.

@Drizzt9922 thank you for your understanding! the only thing I can do is to ask you to be patient a bit more, please! most of the community managers are off for the weekend and will be back tomorrow. Since the game has been released recently, they have a lot of posts to work through. that's most likely the main reason why none of them managed to come back to you on Friday. I hope you will receive an answer soon.

Why do stats not count towards XP in H2H? Getting minimal XP for a win and nothing at all with a loss is a tough outcome
